Books for Juneteenth

Happy Juneteenth!

For those of you who don’t know about Juneteenth, you can read more here, but essentially Juneteenth is when the last of the enslaved people in the U.S. found out that slavery had been abolished.

To me, freedom means the end of systemic racism and oppression against all people, but until then, we can experience freedom when we experience joy.

So here are some books that show Black joy! You can find my full list on my Bookshop store.
