Collection: Liberation is Lit Press

Liberation is Lit started publishing books in 2025, with the first project being the anthology, Wine About It: The Prelude, co-edited by Andrea Lashay and Tayler Simon.  This first project was made possible through a grant from the SC Arts Commission and included poetry, short stories, and creative nonfiction from Black women across SC.

Our second project was Old Growth: An Anthology Inspired by the Congaree National Park, where 100% of profits go toward supporting conservation efforts of Congaree National Park. 

Our nonprofit press model covers publishing costs such as ISBNs, editing services, printing, and any other expenses needed for a project.
