What happens when the place you call home doesn’t love you back?

Where is Home?: Loss, Found, Made is a collection of brave and honest accounts of what it means to make a home in inhospitable ground. Seventeen voices of LGBTQ+ people who live or have lived in South Carolina share their personal experiences of what it means to grow up in, live in, or leave this place.

After several hostile legislative sessions in South Carolina that specifically targeted queer and trans people, we think it is important, now more than ever before, to center our safety and rights to exist as human beings, for we show the world our infinite possibilities for love.

Where is Home? is not just for queer and trans people; it is a question we should all be asking ourselves. They come for the freest among us first.
