Liberation is Lit is dedicated to sparking collective action for liberation and community building among readers and book lovers by promoting stories from intersectional experiences. We are looking for up-and-coming authors passionate about making change through the books they write. We want to be a home for your books and a bridge to connect your work to your ideal readers. And most importantly, for you to get paid for your labor of love!

Liberation is Lit currently attends markets all over the Midlands of South Carolina and has an online market that has reached readers all over the country. We also have a vibrant social media community with thousands of followers. Get your book in front of our readers today!

Submit Your Book

Here's How It Works

1. Submit a short proposal through our online form outlining a synopsis/description of your book, your author bio, a graphic of the cover, your target audience, and any excerpts of reviews. Please fill out one submission per book you wish to house with us.
2. Once your book is accepted, we will send you an agreement with the terms of the consignment. We offer authors a 60/40 split in your favor for the sale of your book.
3. All you have to do is provide us with 5-10 copies of your book at a time! You'll get paid on a monthly basis. You decide if and when you want to stop selling your book with us.

FAQ

How are books priced and sold?

You set the price for the books you want to sell. If this is your first time selling outside of Amazon or your website, we can help you with book pricing. All books are sold through our website, our social media markets, and during our in-person markets.

What is the consignment fee or commission structure?

There is no fee associated with selling your books with us. You make money as we sell your book. We offer a commission split of 60/40 in favor of the author. We will reach out to you when we run out of our stock.

How are payments and sales tracked?

All inventory is tracked through our sales platform, so we track every time your book sells. At the end of each month, you will receive your share of the profits from each sale.

What marketing and promotion efforts will be made on behalf of the authors?

Liberation is Lit is always promoting our books on our social media, as well as to all of our email subscribers. Feel free to promote to your audience that they can buy the book from us as well!
